One of the very first things Eliot said this morning was 'pizza'. He woke up
ravenous and then had to wait until almost 1 pm to eat. He had his second spinal tap and bone biopsy and thus couldn't eat. He couldn't even drink water. The poor kid pined away for pizza all morning (literally asking to sit in his high chair and asking for his plate and a napkin and saying please pizza please over and over). I finally go so hungry after his procedure that I went and got my own lunch which he ate. When the pizza got here he ate one piece.

Sara, I just have to take a minute to tell you how brave and faithful and amazing you are and to thank you for letting us -- your extended dysfunctional family -- into this part of yours and Eliot's and Aron's and Naomi's journey. Checking this blog every day is like a reality check on where God is hiding in the midst of all the war and worry and crabby crap that passes for life in "the church" way too much of the time.
Anyway, know that there are apostate, heretic, revisionist prayers ascending for all of you from Pasadena tonight ... with special prayers for the spiritual gift of pizza!
oh boy...poor kid....steriod cravings must be kicking in:) At least he has an appetite:)
