Where We Are

I've been dragging butt on posting lately. I'm not sure why.

I'll say this. Eliot has been without chemo now for over a week. We're in the blessed 2 week break between his first 6 months of intensive treatment and his final 3 year of maintenance treatment.

Sigh. Breathe.

Did you hear that?

Right now we're in the last week or so of his intensive treatment.

On June 21st we'll start maintenance.

Maintenance is what we've been shooting for since December 18th.

Maintenance will be here soon. Very. Very soon.

At our appointment on Thursday all they did was check his labs. They just took his blood from his finger. They didn't even need to access his port.

It turns out that his hemoglobin and neutrophils were very low. You'd never know it tho. He is energetic, opinionated, talkative, loving, silly, imaginative and basically a 2 year old going on 3.

Its unbelievable. Its un-freaking believable.

Its beautiful.
