Wish List

edit Nana and Papa are getting Eliot and Naomi a camera.

Eliot is really into taking pictures lately or having me take pictures (like this lovely shot of his pile of blocks). I think it would be great fun if he had a camera I wasn't worried about ruining. I found some at Overstock.com but none of them are must haves. Just a little, fun camera that is digital.

Yet More For the Wish List

I gave in and started using the tv this past week when I needed to get things done. So it fries kids brains. Well, my brain was frying and I decided some public television could keep the sanity level higher around here. Naomi and I were sitting in the tent this week and teletubbies (a bizarre show in every way) was on. I wasn't paying much attention when I peeked out of the tent and saw Eliot spinning around the living room and stopping every once in a while to clap (and in the end to fall completely on his face).

He was dancing with a bunch of Latin American little girls in long skirts at their dance studio. I decided to find him a dance video we could use and dance around (I try to get him to dance all the time and he never wants to - I think the little girls, the latin music and nobody watching brought the little ball room dancer out in him).

Every video I found was for older kids (and I actually found some fun hip-hop videos that will be on the list in a few years for sure. There are some really fun videos I found for golf and magic and yoga which I think would be great fun (especially the yoga).

And for those of you shopping for adults there is a whole section on this web-site for 'adult' dancing which I find, well, interesting. The titles are especially fun. Belly Dance for Romance is my favorite.

Cat Cow Tree Baby Corpse More Corpse

edit: I heard from Eliot and Naomi's Nana that she got this fun book for them.

Out of the blue I decided to do some yoga with Eliot. At the time it seemed like so much more fun than bargaining with him about putting his clothes on. We did the cat position, cow position, baby pose, downward dog (which Eliot used to do perfectly but now after watching me do it with my tight muscles in my legs he does it on his tippie toes), tree, sun salutations, mountain and corpse pose. He asked for more corpse pose when we were done. What a smart kid!

I realized all positions in yoga are probably meant to feel as natural as corpse pose.
I found this book that is now firmly placed on the Christmas wish list. He really had a great time and so did I.

More for The Wish List

This is for my wish list. I don't want this actual product albeit pretty darn funny. I want the ability to write witty descriptions that work on all levels like the priceless description you find here for this nifty little light switch.

I skipped the picture because its x-rated in its own way. So beware.

More Wish List Items

Eliot is really into hand music and rythm and dancing lately. It would be great fun to have a set of hand bells or some drums or shakers or other fun stuff.

Its Getting to Be That Time of Year

Okay - this is not some passive aggressive attempt at hinting that hey you readers should cough up some gifts. This is my attempt to be helpful to those who already planned to give gifts to the kids.

I've been thinking about winter activities for the kids and thought of this one today. I think it would be a BLAST to have a fun little parachute to play with when we have play groups.

So the first thing on Eliot and Naomi's wish list on my newly updated and fantastic blog is this cool parachute. It doesn't need to be this exact parachute, it does need to have handles and not be one of those 24 foot deals (although that would be super awesome the next time I plan a play date for all adults).
